On the weekend (Sunday, August 30th, from 9am-2pm) we will be heading to the Toowoomba Handmade Expo Market.
THE is a chain of markets that was started up by a mother and daughter team from Ipswich to help grow and support handmade, hand-crafted, hand-baked and artisan products. It started originally in 2008 and now has a number of locations across Queensland and even one in Perth. It has even been featured in the Toowoomba Chronicle (read more here) and its owners are passionate about quality handmade goods and encouraging people to shop local. They recently won a prize for the best market in Australia!
What makes the August market special is that for the first time they are including Retro items so we are looking forward to seeing what comes along. Also looking forward to the french pastry!!!
Gecko Grove is also featured as one of the stallholder profiles for the market on the weekend, which you can read here. It has some information about why we started Gecko Grove, why we love what we do and our lovely customers who we hope to see there on Sunday!
When: This Sunday, August 30th, from 9am-2pm
Where: USQ Clive Berghofer Recreation Centre, Baker Street, Toowoomba.
How to get there: Once you hit Toowoomba, head south along Ruthven St, take a right at Stenner St, a left on Platz St, and a final left onto Baker St.
