Figs make fantastic preserves because the flavour intensifies with cooking and they can be enhanced with range of different spices to make your own signature preserve. Figs are a summer fruit so March is the time to preserve some figgy deliciousness to last until next season.
At our Jam Session we will learn to preserve figs in three different ways. We will make Fig Jam, as well as a sweet conserve to serve with icecream or yoghurt and whole figs preserved in herb vinegar to serve on a cheese board or in cook in a Moroccan – style tagine.
You will take home recipes, at least 5 bottles of Fig preserves and the know how to make more at home.
